Summer Registration 2022

CRBA Family

Summer registration is now open for MOST grade levels – (NOTE: we are looking for help at boys 9/10/11 grade level for the summer before we can commit to opening registration. Please reach out to the league if you can help with coordination at this grade level for the summer – crbahoops@gmail.com )

A link for registration can be found at our website – https://councilrockbasketballassociation.com/

As always, our programs are ONLY open to residents in the Council Rock School District (CRSD).  Do not register your son/daughter for this program if you do not reside in CRSD or the registration will be canceled, and your registration fee will be refunded minus a processing fee.  Registration is on a first come basis and will close as each group reaches in maximum. Registration will not be refunded should your child decide not to participate.

All games will be outside. The Summer league is targeted to run from mid-June through Early August with games on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday nights – expected game times are: 5:15; 6:20; 7:25 and 8:30. The nights on which this group will play have not yet been determined and will depend on number of teams.
There will be no practices.  While we are targeting 2 games/week over 8 weeks, due to weather related cancellations this could be significantly impacted.

Because games will not be played on set nights, we cannot honor “exclusion night” requests.

Fall/Winter Registration

Registration for Council Rock Basketball Association’s fall/winter programs for girls and boys intramural and travel programs is currently open at the following website: https://active.leagueone.com/Olr/Pages/Welcome.aspx?ClubId=14863. CRBA is a volunteer run league. We are in need of a volunteers to oversee some age/grade groups.  Please reach out @ crbahoops@gmail.com if you are interested in helping the league.

This is the season that will run from November 2021 through March 2022. Registration is first come, first serve. Once a group fills up, registration will close for that group. In any case, registration will likely close on or before October 10, 2021. All registrations must be done online; no walk-in or paper registrations will be accepted

Travel tryout dates have been announced and require separate Tryout Registration (all information can be found on our website – www.councilrockbasketballassociation.com ). All players interested in trying out for a travel team must be registered prior to tryouts. If your child is not registered prior to the tryout, he or she will not be permitted to try out. If there are any questions regarding the travel program, please contact the travel program coordinator listed on our website.

As was the case in past years, there will be player evaluations for intramural players in grades 5-8 (boys & girls). These are evaluations, not try outs. The evaluations are used to try to form the most balanced teams possible to make for the most competitive season. All players who register for the intramural program will be placed on a team, even if they miss the evaluation night. The intramural evaluation dates are not yet set, but will likely be some time between October 14-30.

Like with the travel tryouts, all players attending an evaluation must be registered for that age group prior to the evaluations. If your child is not registered prior to the evaluations, he or she will not be permitted to participate. If you have specific questions about a particular age group, please contact the appropriate age group coordinator, who can be found on the attached.

Covid protocols will be in full force throughout the season. This includes any protocols mandated by the State, County, Township or Schools during the season.  Anyone failing to adhere to these will be removed from the Spring league.  While wearing a mask is not currently required, this may change as local protocols change.

Last, Council Rock Basketball Association’s programs are ONLY open to residents in the Council Rock School District (CRSD).  Do not register your child for one of our programs if you do not reside in CRSD. The registration will be canceled and your registration fee will be refunded minus a processing fee.

Additional information concerning the league and the answers to many questions about the league can be found on our website under the “Common Questions” tab:https://councilrockbasketballassociation.com/faq/.

Fall/Winter 2020/2021 UPDATE

CRBA family,

I hope you and your family are doing well during this unprecedented time. Normally by now we are providing reminders about registration for the upcoming season. As you might have suspected, we have delayed any decision for the 2020/2021 basketball season.

CRBA is fully dependent on the use of Council Rock School gyms. The current direction from the school administration is that no outside use will be granted permits until further notice. While we are hopeful this decision is a near term decision and could be reversed as Bucks County data dictates, we are not able to provide a basketball season without the use and support of the CR schools. We had over 1400 registered participants for last year’s program with over 4000 hours of coordinated gym time of practices and games for the 2019/2020 season. There are no other options to accommodate our large group.

We are closely monitoring the local and state guidelines for youth sports and how they can operate in a safe manner. We have created Covid-19 policies to reflect the guidelines provided to us. We have watched and learned from other leagues that were able to start prior to us. We feel confident that – with YOUR support, we can provide an opportunity for a safe league should the school gyms become available.

CRBA has decided to delay the decision on the In-house 2020/2021 season at this time. We hope this delay will allow us to access of the school’s gyms should a reversal in permitted use be granted.

TRAVEL – We are still evaluating options for a reduced travel offering. Please keep an eye out for additional information on what this could look like.

Stay Safe
