CRBA COVID Policy (updated on January 21, 2022 to reflect current CDC, state, local and CRSD guidelines)
CRBA Travel –
Travel Teams are required to follow these guidelines at a minimum PLUS additional requirements imposed from any league in which they are playing. Under no circumstances are CRBA’s policy requirements to be reduced in favor of a league or tournament’s requirements. Any potential differences in policy that reduce player protection must be presented to the CRBA board immediately for review and guidance.
Practice Guidelines for ALL CRBA players (Intramural and Travel)-

- All players are expected to have been screened at home prior to showing up for practice – see Home Screening Requirements below.
- If at any time your son/daughter feels ill, you will be asked to pick them up immediately.
- Parent/siblings will not be permitted inside the gym during practice.
- Teams arriving for practice will need to remain outside the gyms until the previous team(s) are complete and have EXITED the gym. During this time – all will be required to ensure they are socially distant from others and are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.
- At completion of practice – all players are required to gather their items quickly and leave the gym as soon as possible.
- Wearing of a mask is not required when actively involved in practice (coaches/players). All players are expected to be actively involved in practice.
- Water fountains in schools will NOT be used by any players, coaches, and any spectators.
- Players will NOT share any water bottles (disposable or otherwise) with any other players, and any water bottles brought to games should be clearly labeled with their names.
Game Guidelines for ALL CRBA players (Intramural and Travel)-

- All players, coaches, and any spectators arriving for games will need to remain outside the gyms until the previous team(s) are complete and have EXITED the gym. During this time – all players, coaches, and any spectators waiting to enter the building will be required to ensure they are socially distant from others and are strongly recommended to wear a mask.
- Wearing of a mask is strongly recommended for ALL, including spectators, except for when on the court during the game. ALL players and coaches on the sidelines/bench are strongly recommended to wear masks unless they are getting a drink.

Home Screening Requirements (for ALL travel and intramural players)

- Prior to arrival at ANY CRBA function it is the Parent’s responsibility to:
- Ensure their son/daughter is feeling OK
- Take their son/daughter’s temperature – MUST BE <100.4F
- Not to send their son/daughter if the has symptoms of COVID
- If there has been ANY notification that a player or a member of that player’s household has tested positive for COVID, the guidelines below MUST be followed.
- Prior to arrival at ANY CRBA function it is the Parent’s responsibility to:

- If a CRBA player or member of that player’s household has tested positive for COVID:
- You are required to inform your child’s coach and/or the CRBA league upon knowing you have a son/daughter that has tested positive.
- The player or member of that player’s household who has tested positive are prohibited from participating in any CRBA function for a minimum period of five (5) days from the positive test and cannot return until they are symptom and fever free, without mediation, for 24 hours. This includes being a spectator. After five days of being symptom and fever free, without medication, for 24 hours, the player or member of that player’s household who tested positive may return to CRBA activities. It is strongly recommended that when they do so, they wear a mask at all times – this includes while playing on the court – for five (5) days after they are eligible to return.
- Any player who has a member of the household who has tested positive for COVID but has tested negative and is asymptomatic may continue to play. However, that player MUST wear a mask for a minimum of one week from the symptom onset or positive test, if asymptomatic, of the household member without exception– this includes while playing on the court for games and practices. In households with multiple positives, the mask wearing period should be extended to align with 7 days after all family members are symptom free with no medications.
- If a CRBA player or member of that player’s household has tested positive for COVID:
Coaches & Referees

- Prior to arriving at ANY CRBA function – it is your responsibility to:
- Ensure you are feeling OK
- Ensure your temperature is <100.4F
- Not to attend any CRBA activity if you have symptoms of COVID
- If there has been ANY notification that you or a member of your household has tested positive for COVID, the guidelines below MUST be followed.
- Prior to arriving at ANY CRBA function – it is your responsibility to:

- If you or a member of your household have tested positive for COVID:
- You are required to inform your team and/or the CRBA league upon knowing you have tested positive.
- If you test positive for COVD, you are prohibited from participating in any CRBA function, this includes being a spectator, for a minimum period of five (5) days from the positive test and you cannot return until you are symptom and fever free, without mediation for 24 hours. Once you return after five days of being symptom and fever free, without medication for 24 hours, you may return to CRBA activities. - Practice/Games times
- Ensure your team waits outside of the gym until the previous team(s) have exited.
- Remind all of social distancing and recommended mask usage.
- Ensure your team gather their gear and exits the gym in a timely manner.
- Ensure no parents/siblings are hanging around during practice times.
- Use of Hand Sanitizer.
- If you or a member of your household have tested positive for COVID:
