Player Code of Conduct
By registering and playing in a Council Rock Basketball Association program, I agree to abide by the following code of conduct:
- I will accept responsibility for my behavior on and off the court. I understand that what I do and say affects my teammates, my community, and others, either positively or negatively.
- I will act with respect toward myself and the people and things around me, including my parents, my coaches, my teammates, my opponents, officials, and spectators.
- I will act courteously toward coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators. I understand that it is a privilege to represent my family and community as a student-athlete.
- I will do my best to attend all practices and games and communicate with my coach when I cannot support the team.
- I will be a good sport to players, coaches, officials, opponents, and parents at every game and practice, no matter win or lose.
- I refrain from boasting to my teammates and “trash-talking” to members of other teams.
- I will accept defeat graciously by congratulating my opponents on a game well played.
- I will not engage in any violence or verbal threats or use any profanity.
I understand that behavior not in line with the above code of conduct will result in penalties, including suspension from Council Rock Basketball as a player, coach or spectator and a lifetime ban from all Council Rock Basketball Association-sponsored events.
If any member of the community witnesses behaviors not-in-line with the above code of conduct please bring it to the league’s attention by emailing CRBAHoops@gmail.com.
